Sara Turner-Smith

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Sara Turner-Smith was four year letter winner at Cardinal Stritch High School before playing at Owens Community College from 2013 through 2015.
Turner-Smith played four years at Cardinal Stritch, and during her senior year she played under current Northview Head Coach, Chad Rutkowski, where they finished with the best record in school history and the first District Title in volleyball history in the 2012 season. In her time at Cardinal Stritch, Turner-Smith is one of the most decorated players in Stritch history. Turner-Smith was named First Team All-TAAC, TAAC Player of the Year, First Team All-District VII, Academic All-TAAC, Academic All-District VII, and Most Valuable Player.
After her high school career, Turner-Smith was selected to play at Owens Community College, where she is a proud alum, playing as outside and right side six rotation hitter.
Turner-Smith will be graduating this May with her Masters in Human Nutrition from Bowling Green State University to be a Registered Dietitian. She is excited to help all of our athletes learn how nutrition and performance go hand in hand. She is also passionate about training both the physical and mental game that comes along with playing volleyball and empowering all of our athletes to grow as women during their time in the Northview Volleyball Program.
Currently, Sara is engaged to her fiance, Andy, and they live in Bowling Green, Ohio.
