SYLVANIA: Wildcats sweep Adrian 3-0.Northview picked up their first sweep of the season against Adrian Monday night, improving to 10-9. Jackson Roush was electric on the service line, recording 4 aces on just 11 attempts. Xavi Hale led the offense with 11 kills and added 10 digs for a double-double, while Nolan Smith contributed 8 kills and a team-high 4 blocks.The Wildcats return home tonight to face Anthony Wayne in their final home match of the season — and Senior Night.

SYLVANIA - The Wildcats hosted Amherst Steele, Avon, and Walled Lake Western in a quad match on Saturday, April 11th and Northview finished the day 1-2. Below are the recaps from each match. The Wildcats dropped their first match of Saturday's quad, falling to Amherst Steele 2-1 to move to 2-4 on the season. The Wildcats held an 11-9 lead in the third set but a run of errors on offense proved costly down the stretch.Nolan Smith led the team with 9 kills, while Anthony Pedro anchored the back row with a team-high 13 digs. The team combined to tie a school record of 7 blocks in a 3 set match.The Wildcats dropped their second straight match of the quad to Avon, falling 0-2 to slip to 2-5 on the season. SYLVANIA - The Wildcats defeat Start High School 3-1 for their first win of the 2026 campaign to move to 1-3 overall.The Wildcats picked up their first win of the season Tuesday, improving to 1-3 after taking down Toledo's Start High School 3-1. The team backed it up with a strong all-around effort.Cooper Smith led the team with 6 aces and 19 digs, while Xavi Hale contributed 13 kills and 19 digs — both recording double-doubles on the night. Matt Haefner and Cameron Lampley combined for 11 blocks as the team finished with 13 total, a new record for a four-set match.In addition, Cooper Smith tied record high aces in a 4 set match with 4 total. As a team, they set a record high blocks in a 4 set match with 13, defeating the previous record of 11 against Swanton on April 23, 2025.The Wildcats return to action Tuesday, April 7th at Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, OH.

SYLVANIA - In the first home match of the season, the Northview Wildcats pushed the match to the distance, ultimately dropping in the fifth set to start the season at 0-3. Leading for Northview was senior outside hitter, Xavier Hale, with 12 kills, 18 digs; and sophomore opposite hitter, Drew Longardner, with 11 kills, and 16 digs and 8 aces. The offense was lead by sophomore setter, Cooper Smith, with 31 assists, 10 digs, and kills for his second double-double of the season. Senior libero, Anthony Pedro, recorded a team high 23 digs. The Cats return to action on Tuesday, March 31st as they host Start High School.

PERRYSBURG - In the first two matches of the year for the Cats, it was an opportunity to learn about this young squad and see where they matched up in the early part of the season as they traveled to Perrysburg to play the Yellow Jackets and a strong Medina High School team. In both matches, the Cats were defeated 0-2. Leading for the Cats in the first match vs. Perrysburg, was senior outside hitter, Xavier Hale with a team high 7 kills, while hitting .438. The Cats received a team high 10 digs from sophomore setter, Cooper Smith, who also dished out 10 assists for this first double-doubel of the season. In the second match, the Cats struggled offensively and were unable to find rhythm. Northview received 4 kills from Andrew Smith, who also chipped in 2 aces. Senior, Anthony Pedro, recorded a team high 6 digs, and Cooper Smith had a team high 6 assists.

SYLVANIA - As the Cats celebrated Senior & Parents Night on the final home match of the 2025 regular season, it was a tough start for Northview as the match got underway as the offense never seemed to find their footing. As a result, Northview lost 0-3 to finish the regular season with a 13-9 overall record.Leading for the Cats was senior Talia Twigg, with a team high 15 kills, 7 digs while passing a 2.06, and recording 3 aces. The Cats also got 4 big kills on 8 attempts from sophomore middle blocker, Reese Holmes, who hit .500. FINDLAY - As Northern Lakes League play wraps up for the 2025 season, Northview traveled to Findlay for the finally NLL match of the season and it was a commanding win for the Cats in straight sets to move to 12-8 overall, 8-6 in the NLL, 4-4 in the Buckeye division.Leading for the Cats was sophomore libero, Jade Hagan, with 16 points won on serving alone, a 72.7% point scoring percentage, while recording a team-high 3 aces, passing a 2.25 and recording 8 digs. Offensively, the Cats were lead by senior outside hitter, Talia Twigg with a team-high 11 kills, hitting .280, while adding 5 digs and passing a 2.27 and sophomore middle blocker, Reese Holmes with 7 kills, hitting .308. SYLVANIA - Caturday in Sylvania as the Wildcats hosted Olentangy Liberty for their fifth straight home match and the Cats were able to finish the day with either sixth sweep in a row to move to 11-6 overall.Northview was led by senior Bri Langenderfer with a team-high 13 kills, hitting .545, while adding 6 digs and 3 blocks; and senior Talia Twigg with 13 kills, hitting .225, while adding a team-high 15 digs. AMHERST - The Cats comeback and push towards the halfway point of the season was capped off on Saturday with a decisive four set victory over the Amherst Comets to push Northview to 5-4, 3-2 in the NLL and 1-1 in the Buckeye Division.Leading for Northview was junior setter Alayna Sauer, with 29 assists, 6 blocks, 6 digs, 4 kills, hitting .667 and 3 aces. Senior pin hitters, Talia Twigg and Bri Langenderfer led the Cats with 9 kills, and junior middle blocker, Frankie Ramsdell-Washington with 6 kills and 8 blocks, and junior pin, Molly Suon, with 6 kills. Kamryn Hunt Named AVCA All-American

LEXINGTON, Ky. (November 9, 2022) - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) is proud to announce the 17th annual AVCA Girls High School All-America Teams.
Northview senior outside hitter, Kamryn Hunt, has been named Honorable Mention All-American. Hunt is the first Northview Volleyball player to awarded this honor. In her career, she contributed some amazing stats:

Sets Played - 331
Attacking - 3003 attempts, 1293 kills, averaging 3.906 kills per set, hitting .275 with a 43% kill percentage.
Serving - 756 attempts, 83 aces, with a 87% serving percentage

TOLEDO - On November 30, 2022 at the Annual Scholarship Banquet and Paper Sale Kickoff, an evening of tribute and recognition of academic achievement for high school students, Northview senior volleyball player Kamryn Hunt was named the 2022 Toledo Volleyball Player of the Year.
Kamryn was surrounded with two other exceptional nominees, Hannah Howard, senior libero from St. Ursula Academy and fellow NLL athlete, Gretchen Sigman, junior opposite hitter who were both honored as runner-ups at this event. Kamryn was accompanied at the event with her parents, Kati and Kyle, and Northview head coach, Chad Rutkowski and his husband, Kevin Lintjer.
