Senior Caden Irwin has been a member of the Northview Golf Team the past four years. He worked hard all summer to help reload the Wildcat Program in order to defend their NLL and District Championship titles. Caden started the season strong in try-outs, coming out of the 54 hole event with a solid 77 average. He continued his early season success with an 81 at Brandywine, helping the Cats to their first tournament victory over 11 other teams. His best tournament score to date was an 80 at the Sylvania Invitational. The varsity relies heavily on Caden's senior leadership. His play and demeanor on the course serve as an example to the underclassmen.
Jessica Mermer is a senior captain of the Varsity Tennis team. She has been a member of the varsity team the past 4 years. As a Freshman, she placed 2nd in doubles in the NLL Tournament. In her Sophomore season, Jessica made All District Honorable Mention. Last year as a Junior, she received 2nd Team NLL and All District Honorable Mention. Jessica has proven to be successful at a high level in both Singles and Doubles. She brings a caring, calm, and thoroughly enjoyable personality to teammates, coaches, and opponents alike. These qualities will help her succeed in whatever the future holds.
Senior Kyley Keene, has been an outside hitter for the Northview Varsity Volleyball team since her freshman year. Prior to a season ending broken finger this fall, Kyley was leading the team in kills with 45 total and was second on the team in digs with 39. Now, after leading the Kats for four years, she will take a different approach to the game as a student coach. Coach Rutkowski was quoted saying “Kyley will be missed on the court for her abilities; however, she will be missed more for being a winner! She knew what needed to be done to win and the fire and drive instilled in her was second to none.” Kyley will continue her academic and volleyball careers at Tiffin University next fall.
Senior Kylie Archibeque has been a member of the Varsity LadyKat Cross Country team the past three years. This season, Kylie has been the team’s leader and most consistent performer. She has placed in the top 15 in 3 out of the last 4 invitationals and has helped lead the LadyKats to two 1st place finishes. Kylie’s season best time of 20:17 is one of the tops in the NLL so far this fall. Her goals for the rest of the season are to improve her personal best time, earn first team all NLL honors, and help her team earn a trip to the State Championship Meet.

Tyler Biggs is a 4-year letter winner for the Wildcat Varsity Soccer Program. As a Senior Captain, he has helped guide the Wildcats to a record of 10-2-1 thru the first thirteen games, 5-0-1 in NLL play. From the center midfield spot, Tyler also leads the team in scoring this fall with 17 goals and 6 assists. As a Junior, he was voted 1st Team NLL and 1st Team All District. Tyler has incredible skills coupled with great speed making him a mismatch in every game. He will continue his academic and soccer careers at Loyola University Chicago next fall.
Senior Jessup Pawelczyk will earn his third varsity letter as a member of the Wildcat Football Team. He contributes on both sides of the ball playing in every snap offensively and defensively. Through week 8, he has 94 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 2 sacks on the defensive side of the ball. As an Offensive Lineman, Jessup is grading out at 82%. In addition to being a standout on the football field, he will earn his fourth varsity letter on the wrestling mat this winter. Jessup is a natural leader both on and off the football field.
Rachel has been a member of the Northview Cheer Program for 4 years/3 seasons (football/basketball/competition team). Her leadership by example has been a tremendous asset to the team. Rachel is always willing to go above and beyond when it comes to serving her team and her school. She has a 4.3 GPA and is a member of Leadership Academy, Peace Project, National Honor Society, Med Tech, National Society of High School Scholars and is a foster family volunteer for the Toledo Area Humane Society. In addition, Rachel is a 4 year Varsity member of the Northview Gymnastics team.
Senior Sydney Boerst has earned her third varsity letter as a member of the Northview Volleyball Program. She led the LadyKats to a 15-9 overall record this season and a 9-5 record in the NLL. Sydney was voted 1st Team All-NLL, 1st Team All-District VII and was recently named Most Valuable Player in the Volleyball program. She lead the program this fall in total kills (271), hitting percentage (.328), and blocks (77), and was second on the team in digs (232). Sydney has accepted a full-scholarship to IPFW (Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne), a Division I Volleyball Program that competes in The Summit League.
Senior Lily Powell just finished her four year as a member of the Varsity LadyKat Soccer team. Her leadership qualities both on and off the field earned her a role as one of three tri-captains. Lily's athleticism made her a threat anywhere she played on the field, whether she played in the back shutting down the opponent's top players from scoring thru the middle or a scoring threat when playing in the midfield or forward positions. She earned 1st Team All-NLL honors and was voted to the 2nd Team All-Northwest Ohio District team.
Senior Andy Summers is competing in his 4th year as a varsity wrestler for the Northview Wildcat program. In his first tournament of the 2016 - 2017 season, Andy out wrestled his competition at the two day Northwood Jim Derr Memorial Tournament claiming the 160 pound Championship. He helped the Wildcats to a 2nd place finish out of 21 teams overall. Andy is also a Varsity Baseball player for the Wildcats and plans on continuing his education at Miami University, Ohio University or Bowling Green State University majoring in Business.

Senior Libby Sadowski has been a member of the Northview Dance Team for four years. She has brought a high level of leadership and determination throughout her time with the team. During her freshman season, the NVDT placed 3rd in pom, 4th in jazz and 5th in hip hop in the state of Ohio. In 2015, the team placed 2nd in pom and 3rd in jazz and hip hop. Most recently, in her junior year, the team placed 2nd in pom and jazz and 3rd in hip hop. As a senior, Libby has been a huge contributor to the choreography and training of the team in preparation for the competition season. The team is hoping to qualify for the state competition in all three divisions again this year.
BRAD CRANDALL (Senior)
Senior Tri-Captain Brad Crandall is in his 4th year as a member of the Northview Varsity Hockey Team. In addition to being a part of the historic 7 overtime 2014 State Championship Team his freshman year, Brad has been a leader both on and off the ice the past two winters. Last weekend he scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help the Wildcats defeat rival St. Johns 4-2. On the season, Brad is leading the Cats in scoring with 7 goals and 10 assist through 15 games. In addition to being selected BCSN’s #Ice Check 3 Star Athlete of the Week, he made the All-Tournament Team at the Bulldog Invitational in Meadville, PA.

TREVOR HARTBARGER (Senior)
Senior Trevor Hartbarger is wrestling his 4th year as a varsity wrestler for the Northview Wildcats program. He has been a captain all four years and broke Northview’s career pin record that has been held since 1998. Trevor also obtained his 100th career win earlier this season. In his 1st tournament this winter, Trevor out wrestled his competition at the two day Jim Derr Memorial Tournament, held at Northwood High School, coming out as the 145 pound Champion helping the Northview Wildcats to a 2nd place finish out of 21 teams overall. Trevor was also a Varsity Football player and starting running back for the Wildcats and plans on continuing his education in Graphic Arts.

Senior Haley Jones has been a member of the Northview Dance Team for four years. She has been a dynamic and encouraging member of the team throughout her commitment to the team. During her freshman season, the NVDT placed 3rd in pom, 4th in jazz and 5th in hip hop in the state of Ohio. In 2015, the team placed 2nd in pom and 3rd in jazz and hip hop. Most recently, in her junior year, the team placed 2nd in pom and jazz and 3rd in hip hop. As a senior, Haley has been a huge contributor to the choreography and training of the team in preparation for the competition season. The team is hoping to qualify for the OASSA state competition in all three divisions again this year.
LINDSEY ARCHIBEQUE (Senior)
Senior Lindsey Archibeque is a 2-year Varsity letter winner while starting every game as a junior and a senior for the LadyKat basketball team. She is currently 3rd on the team in scoring at 7.3ppg, second in assists at 3apg, and 3rd in steals at 2spg. In the past three games, Lindsey has been a key contributor on both ends of the floor while averaging a team-leading 11ppg during that span. Last Saturday, she scored 17 points at Fostoria. About Lindsey, Coach Pat Sayre said, "Lindsey is an incredible, consistent leader that represents Northview the right way. It is a privilege to coach her every day and our program is lucky to have her as a role model to all of our underclassmen."
Liz Liber is a Senior Captain on Northview’s Girls Varsity Swim Team. At the NLL Championships, Liz finished 4th in both the 50 Freestyle (:26.56) and 100 Freestyle (:58.51); she was the lead leg of both the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays, which each finished 4th place as well. At the Sectional Meet, Liz finished 2nd in the 50 Freestyle with a time of :25.80, and 7th in the 100 Freestyle with a time of :57.48. Liz is a true team leader. Not only has she been a leader on the scoreboard in terms of points earned this season, she has consistently lead the team in terms of sportsmanship, team spirit, diligence, dedication, and respect. Liz is goal-driven athlete, a fierce competitor, and fun to watch. She will be sorely missed next season.
Senior Kaitlyn Dieringer has had a very successful career as a member of the Northview Diving Team. Along with being a four time letter winner, Kaitlyn is a 4 time NLL Champion and was named First Team NLL all four years she competed. She has been a 3 time state championship qualifier and has placed in the top 12 all three appearances. Kaitlyn was named 1st Team All-Ohio and also named as an Athletic All-American in 2016. She will be attending Eastern Michigan University in the fall on an academic and athletic scholarship. In their Honors College Program, she will study Exercise Science and then further her studies to become a Physician’s Assistant in Emergency Medicine/Trauma. MARY CAYE McCANN (Senior)
Mary Caye McCann joined the Northview Dance Team as a sophomore. She has been a hardworking and organized senior captain throughout her commitment to the team and was even nicknamed "Coach Mary" for her efforts. During her sophomore season, the team placed 2nd in Pom and 3rd in Jazz and Hip Hop in the state. In 2016, her junior year, the team placed 2nd in Pom and Jazz and 3rd in Hip Hop. As a senior, Mary Caye has been a huge contributor to the choreography and training of the team in preparation for the competition season. At the 2017 OASSA State Dance Championship the Northview Dance team placed 4th in Hip Hop, 3rd in Pom and were State Runner-up in Jazz.

JESSUP PAWELCZYK (Senior)
Senior Jessup Pawelczyk has been a varsity wrestler the past four years for the Northview Wildcat program. In his 1st tournament of the winter, he out wrestled his competition at the two day Jim Derr Memorial Tournament coming out as the 195 pound Champion and helped the Northview Wildcats place 2nd out of 21 teams overall. Jessup also finished 1st at the St John's Tournament, won the NLL Championship, was Runner-up at Sectionals, and reach the podium at Districts placing in the 182 pound weight class. In addition, he recorded his 100th career win this season. Jessup plans on continuing his education and wrestling career with The United States Coast Guard Academy.
