Aerin West

Head Freshmen/Assistant Coach

Boys Varsity Basketball

Coach West will serve as a the Head JV Coach this year, his third season on our staff. He previously spent two seasons as an assistant coach with our boys' soccer program at Northview.

Aerin currently resides in Toledo and is enrolled in the law school at the University of Toledo. He graduated from the University of Cinicinnati in 2019, where he was a four-year member of the Men's Soccer program. Aerin is a 2016 graduate of Northview where he excelled in the classroom, on the soccer pitch and in basketball. In hoops, Aerin is currently the Wildcats' second all-time scoring leader with 1164 career points! As a senior in 2015-16, Aerin led the Wildcats to their first NLL Championship in 15 years. The team also reached the Division 1 District Tournament for only the fourth time in school history (at the time).

Coach McDonald served as the assistant coach in Aerin's freshman season, where he was a part-time varsity starter. Coach McDonald returned to Northview as the head coach in Aerin's senior campaign, when the Wildcats went 17-8 en route to a league title and district appearance. We are excited to have Aerin continue to serve the NV hoops' program!
