SYLVANIA - In the second match-up of Northview vs. Steele, this one being highly contested and anticipated, it was Northview with the victory in 4 sets to move to 12-4 on the season. The Comets started the match off with a decisive first set victory but the Cats came roaring back to win the next three.
Leading for the Cats was senior outside hitter, Christian Berling, with 17 kills, hitting .204, while adding 14 digs, 2 aces, and a passing rating of 2.56. Evan Beazley added 6 kills, hitting .400, and Bryce Behan chipped in 3 kills, while Addison Suon added 4 kills and a team-high 3 blocks. Defensively, the Cats were led by freshman libero, Gavin Smith, with a team-high 21 digs, followed by John Richmond with 19. Junior setter, Dillon Ersig dished out 29 assists.
