COLUMBUS - As the 2020 season comes to a close for the Northview Volleyball program, two big announcements were made in regard to All-Ohio selections. This year, Northview has two representatives on the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association's All-Ohio Selections.
Kamryn Hunt, class of 2023, outside hitter, was selected to Third Team All-Ohio. Hunt led Northview with 422 kills (a school record for most kills in a season), 293 digs, 42 blocks, 35 aces, passing a 1.78. As a transfer, this was Hunt's first year with Northview. Coach Chad Rutkowski stated "we are so very proud of Kam. This is an honor that we knew she could achieve and something that she was striving for. We are beyond proud of her accomplishments and the role in played in the teams success this year."
Emma Dukate, class of 2021, libero, was selected to Honorable Mention All-Ohio. Dukate lead Northview with 410 digs, 47 aces and passed a 2.21. Dukate is a three year letter winner for the Wildcats and is committed to play volleyball at West Virigina University, a member of the Big XII Conference. When asked about Emma, Coach Chad Rutkowski said "Emma is truly a special player and commanded the back court throughout her years in black and yellow. The role of libero is tough and it takes a tough competitor to assume that role; Emma did just that."
This is the first time in Northview Volleyball history that two players have been named to All-Ohio in the same season. Congratulations to Kamryn and Emma.
