SYLVANIA - After starting the early season with four consecutive losses, the LadyKats opened up Northern Lakes League play with a huge four set win over the defending NLL Champions from Anthony Wayne, 25-22, 25-21, 14-25, 25-21 to move to 1-4 overall, 1-0 in the NLL.
Leading the LadyKats was junior middle McKenna Hall who was nearly perfect with 29 attempts, 17 kills and 0 errors, hitting an impressive .586, and sophomore outside hitter, Tatum Lazar with 11 kills on 45 attempts with 5 errors, hitting .133. Leading the offense was senior setter, Aly O'Lenic, who was back from a short injury, with 36 assists. Leading the defense was sophomore Hannah Frame with 20 digs and senior libero, Paige Beck, with 18 digs. Junior Courtney Kross contributed heavily on the serving line with 16 points off of serve.
The LadyKats return to the court on Thursday at Bowling Green High School. JV starts at 5:00pm, Varsity at 6:30pm.
