SYLVANIA - In the last non-Northern Lakes League contest before league play starts on Tuesday, Northview hosted and defeated the Clay Eagles three sets to one. This is the first time since 2003 that a Northview team starts the season with an overall record of 3-1.
Leading for the LadyKats was junior, outside hitter, Hannah Frame with a team high 19 kills, hitting .410, and a team high 21 digs. Also leading the offensive power was senior, outside hitter, McKenna Hall with a double-double 15 kills and 14 digs. The LadyKats received quality play at the net from junior, middle blocker, Bri Syroka, with 6 solo blocks, and sophomore, middle blocker, Haley Catti, hitting .429.
Defensively, sophomore, libero, Emma Dukate contributed 19 digs of the teams 86 total. Sophomore, setter, Clare Kwiatkowski dished out 41 assists and had 9 digs.
Northview returns home on Tuesday verse Bowling Green. JV starts at 5:00 P.M. and Varsity at 6:30 P.M.
