SYLVANIA - In the second Crosstown Showdown, the Cougars of Southview were able to defeat the LadyKats of Northview, three sets to two; 23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 16-18. This moves Northview into third place in the NLL with a record of 9-3 and an overall record of 14-6 with two matches remaining in the regular season.
Leading for Northview was freshman outside hitter, Sydney Hires, with 16 kills hitting .192. Also leading for Northview was senior Hannah Frame with 16 kills and 18 digs, and senior Tatum Lazar with 14 kills and 15 digs. Junior middle blocker, Haley Catti, had 8 kills. On the defensive side of the ball junior libero, Emma Dukate had 18 digs and junior setter, Clare Kwiatkowski had 52 assists.
