TOLEDO - The Ohio High School Athletic Association State Volleyball tournament got underway for the LadyKats with their first match-up verse Sandusky High School. Northview was able to take care of this one fairly easy, three sets to zero.
Leading for Northview was the play of both middles - junior Haley Catti and sophomore Izzy Irwin, both with 8 kills hitting ..267 and .462 respectfully. Also leading was freshman Sydney Hires with 6 kills, hitting .362, and sophomore Madi Taylor with 5 kills hitting .333. Junior libero, Emma Dukate, had a team high 9 digs, passing 2.19, with 4 aces.

Northview advances into the District Semifinals at Hopewell-Loudon High School and will play Notre Dame Academy at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday. This will be a rematch of the 2018 District Final where Notre Dame was able to defeat Northview, three sets to zero, 26-24, 25-22, 25-21. If Northview advances to the District Final, with a victory over Notre Dame, it will only be the 6th time in 43 years, and the first time ever in back-to-back seasons, that a Northview program plays in a District Final.
