HOLLAND - In the second match-up of Springfield vs. Northview, the LadyKats were able to fend off the Blue Devils in the 5th set, moving Northview to 10-7, 9-2 in the NLL; currently sitting in second place.
Leading for Northview was junior libero, Dani Wardrop with a team high 25 digs, winning 27 points on her 36 serving attempts with 6 aces, all while passing a 2.00. Offensively, Northview was led by junior outside hitter, Kamryn Hunt, with 21 kills, hitting .236, while also posting 8 digs. Junior outside hitter, Sydney Hires had 11 kills and 10 digs for a double-double. Sophomore setter, Natalie Kerchevall dished our 35 assist, 4 kills, hitting .364, and 11 digs. Senior opposite, Madi Taylor, contributed 12 digs and freshman DS, Paige LaBudda had 8 digs.

Junior Varsity (14-3 overall, 10-1 NLL) was victorious winning 2-0. Freshman were also victorious in straight sets over the Blue Devils.
With this victory, Northview Head Coach Chad Rutkowski secures his 100th career win.
Northview host cross town rival, Southview, on Thursday at home in the 1st Annual Cats for Dogs event to support the Lucas County Pit Crew. Freshman start at 4:45 P.M., JV at 5:45 P.M. and Varsity at 7:00 P.M. All those in attendance are asked to bring dog toys, dog food or dog treat to the game to support the LCPC.
