SYLVANIA - Saturday's match between #1 Gilmour Academy and Northview was the first meeting for the two schools in history and the first victory went to the Lancer in straight sets. With the loss, Northview moves to 11-8 overall, 9-2 in the NLL.

Leading for Northview was sophomore middle blocker, Claire Smith with 4 kills on 8 attempts, hitting .500, while also adding 3 blocks. Senior opposite, Madi Taylor also provided 3 blocks and a team high 12 digs. Junior outside hitter, Kam Hunt provided 9 kills. Sophomore setter, Natalie Kerchevall dished our 14 assists.

This match was the annual Dig Pink match where both schools partnered to support the Side-Out Foundation and the Flower Hospital Hickman Cancer Center with blankets for cancer patients.

Northview hosts NLL rival Perrysburg on Senior Night, Tuesday, October 12th with freshman starting at 4:45 P.M., JV at 5:45 P.M. and Varsity to follow.
