SYLVANIA - In the first Crosstown Showdown, Northview was able to defeat Southview in straight sets, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 to move to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the NLL.
Prior to this match, the 2nd Annual Cats for Dogs Match, both Northview and Southview raised $1,810.00 for the Lucas County Pit Crew to support their mission of providing responsible guardians of companion animals in our community, with an emphasis on Pit Bull Terrier type dogs and community cats, through education, advocacy, training assistance, spay/neuter promotion, foster care, and adoption. With special guest dogs being announced with each senior from both Northview and Southview.
In match play, Northview was lead by junior setter, Natalie Kerchevall, with 4 kills, hitting .444, a team-high 15 assists and a team-high 3 aces. Northview was also led by seniors Kam Hunt with 10 kills, hitting .643, and 9 digs, and Sydney Hires with 9 kills, hitting .412 and 3 aces. All thirteen players from the Northview roster provided a boost in the total team victory for the Wildcats. The team passed a 2.19 and was lead by junior libero, Jordyn Pakulski and senior defensive specialist, Dani Wardrop both passing 2.5 and 13 digs and 3 digs respectively. Junior middle blocker, Claire Smith posted 6 total blocks and 4 kills, hitting .273.

Northview returns to action on Thursday as they host Napoleon. Freshman start at 4:45 P.M., JV and Varsity to follow at approximately 5:45 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. as we will host Sylvania School Projcet Unify.
