AVON - In the opening match of the 2024 season, it was the Eagles of Avon over the Northview Wildcats in straight sets pushing Northview to 0-1 to start with Team 48.
The Cats struggled to find their offense, hitting -.015 in the match and Avon was able to capitalize forcing Northview to 42 errors in the match. Leading for Northview was senior outside hitter, Zoe Denny with 4 kills and middle blockers Zoey Johnson and Frankie Ramsdell-Washington, along with opposite, Bri Langenderfer, added 3 a piece. Defensively, the Cats got 10 digs from sophomore setter, Alayna Sauer, and 2.00 passing rating from senior libero, Paige LaBudda and senior defensive specialist, Claire Swartz.
