Four Northview Volleyball Players Earn OHSVCA District VII Honors

The Sylvania Northview Volleyball program is proud to announce that four Wildcats have been recognized by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association (OHSVCA) District VII for their outstanding performances during the 2024 season.
First Team All-District: Frankie Ramsdell-Washington & Alayna Sauer
Junior middle blocker Frankie Ramsdell-Washington earned First Team All-District VII honors after anchoring the Wildcats’ front line all season. Ramsdell-Washington totaled 183 kills, 79 total blocks (12 solo, 67 assists), and hit an impressive .290, one of the top marks in the region. She also added 14 aces and was named MaxPreps Player of the Match 13 times during her career. A high academic student and Division I recruit, she has not yet made her college commitment.
Joining her on the First Team All-District VII list is junior setter Alayna Sauer, who directed the offense with outstanding consistency. Sauer finished the year with 765 assists, 44 kills, 41 aces, 153 digs, and 45 total blocks(including 38 block assists). A dynamic and reliable leader on the court, she has been honored as MaxPreps Player of the Match seven times in her career and is also an uncommitted Division I prospect.
Both Ramsdell-Washington and Sauer were also named to the First Team All-Northern Lakes League (NLL).
Second Team All-District: Talia Twigg
Senior outside hitter Talia Twigg was recognized on the Second Team All-District VII after another standout season in which she led Northview in kills (240) and passing rating (1.82), while adding 27 total blocks, 32 aces, and 223 digs. Over her career, Twigg accumulated 686 kills, 55 aces, 70 blocks, and 393 digs, earning 12 MaxPreps Player of the Match honors. She was also selected to the Second Team All-Northern Lakes League.
All-Academic Honors
In addition to their athletic achievements, seniors Talia Twigg and Brianna Langenderfer earned OHSVCA District VII All-Academic Team recognition for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout their high school careers.

Head Coach Chad Rutkowski praised the athletes’ impact on the program:
