In a “rebuilding” year, the Wildcats overcame a rough (3-5) start to finish the regular season 12-10. Playing their best basketball in February/March, the Wildcats went on an impressive run, winning three tough playoff games against Mansfield Madison, NLL Champion (18-4) Perrysburg and TRAC Runners-up (16-7) Central Catholic. For their work, the Wildcats advanced to the Division 1 District Championship for the first time in school history. Down two points with 0.9 seconds to play, the Wildcats completed the most memorable play in school history when Brendon Sharp threw a 90 foot inbound pass to a wide-open Justin Noe to send the game to overtime, where the Wildcats eventually lost. The Wildcats finished 15-11 and won their fourth Sectional Championship in five years.
Sophomore Sean Craig had a historic individual season, leading the NLL in scoring and rebounding and breaking Northview's school record for points and rebounds (offensive, defensive and total) in a season. He also became the school's all-time leader in CAREER offensive rebounds 14 games into his sophomore season. Sean was named All-Ohio Second Team, made The Blade's First Team and was District 7 Player of the Year, among other honors.

In a historic season, the Wildcats finished the season undefeated and ranked #3 in the final Division 1 Ohio poll. The Wildcats were upset in the District Semi-finals, but finished the season 23-1, a school record for wins! The Wildcats were the Toledo Blade's poll champion, won the NLL and the school's third Sectional Championship in four years.
Senior Alek West was named First Team All-Ohio and was the Blade Player of the Year - both firsts for the Northview boys’ basketball program. Alek capped off a historic career by becoming the all-time leader in rebounds (offensive, defensive and total), assists, steals, games and wins. The four teams Alek was a part of won 76 games.
Fellow senior Sam Clear capped off an impressive 3+ year varsity career by becoming the school's record holder in three-pointers made (career and season) and was named First Team All-NLL.
2017-2018

The Wildcats began the season with a school record (at the time) eleven straight wins. Only Southview and Perrysburg defeated the Wildcats en route to a then school record 20 wins. The Wildcats again advanced to the district semi-finals at Savage Arena, dropping a close game to Southview. The Wildcats finished 20-4. At the time, 20 wins was a new school record and the Wildcats won their second Sectional Championship in three years.
Junior Alek West was the co-Player of the Year in the NLL, Third Team All-Ohio and First Team All-District.
2016-2017

The Wildcats had an up and down year and managed to win 16 games despite losing starters Logan Jessing (six games) and Colton Snow (seven games) to injury. The Wildcats defeated Mansfield Senior in the Sectional opener before losing to St. Francis in the next round. At the time, 16 wins was the third most in school history.
Senior Logan Jessing was named to the NLL and District 7 First Teams.

The Wildcats battled early season injuries and a new system, starting the season 1-3. They proceeded to win nine straight games and climb back in the NLL race before eventually winning the school’s first league championship in 15 years. In the playoffs, the Wildcats won two tough Sectional games against Findlay and Springfield to win the first sectional title since 2007. The Wildcats fell to St. John’s in the District Semi-final at Savage Arena, finishing 17-8. At the time, 17 wins was the second most in school history.
Senior Aerin West became the school’s all-time leading scorer, finishing with 1164 points in four varsity seasons. He and junior Logan Jessing were each named First Team all-NLL.
