SYLVANIA - In the first match-up of the season for Maumee vs. Northview, it was match that went the distance with Northview pulling off the 5 set victory over the Panthers, 3-2.
Leading for Northview was sophomore outside hitter, Kamryn Hunt, with a school record 33 kills, hitting .348, along with 15 digs, a team-high 5 aces, and a team-high 3 blocks. Today marked her 8th double-double of the season. Northview's offense was dictated by senior setter, Clare Kwiatkowski, who had 55 assists and 13 digs.
Northview received significant contribution from freshman opposite hitter, Natalie Kerchevall, with 10 kills, and strong defensive presence with senior libero, Emma Dukate and senior defensive specialist, Morgan Brixey each with a team-high 21 digs.
Northview returns to the court on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Ashland for a big District VII match-up that will have significant implications for the District draw on Sunday, October 11th.
