Jeremy and his wife Mellisa (Director of Student Support Services for Sylvania Schools) live in the Northview district with their son Mason (9 years old), a 4th Grader at Highland Elementary.

Staff connections:

-Associate Head Coach Evan Bauer: played for Coach at Waite High School from 2005-2009! These were Coach McDonald's 2nd-5th years in coaching.

-Assistant Aerin West: Coach McDonald was the varsity assistant during Aerin's freshmen year (Aerin played varsity as a frosh) and the Head Coach for his senior campaign, where the Wildcats won their first NLL title in 15 years. This was McDonald's first season at the helm for Northview.

-Assistant Alek West: Alek was a four year starter in Coach McDonald's first four seasons as head coach at Northview. Alek won two league titles (2016 and 2019) and the 2019 team was 23-1, finishing the regular season ranked #3 in the Ohio State poll.

-Assistant Joe Guerrero: Like McDonald, Joe is Waite High School graduate. Coach Guerrero was the Head Coach at Waite in 1991, the first year Coach McDonald started attending games as a fan. Joe coached against Jeremy as a player (Waite), assistant (Waite, Central, Southview) and head coach (Northview).

Coach Shoemaker enters his fifth season as an assistant with this Northview boys' basketball staff. More about Coach:

Family:

Coach lives in Sylvania with his wife Beth. His three adult children are all Northview graduates

Occupation:

Northview High School Math Teacher and Assistant Athletic Direct

Coaching:

Coach Shoemaker served previously as the head coach at Northview and is the all-time leader in coaching victories. After 14 years at the helm, Coach Shoemaker stepped aside after the 2007-08 season. He assisted the girls program for three years and is currently the Assistant Director of Athletics. 

Coach Shoemaker brings over 30 years of experience in coaching basketball. He began his career as an assistant at Buckeye Central High School and then became the Head Coach at Mohawk. Prior to his arrival at Northview, he was an assistant coach at Heidelberg University for six years. Coach will serve primarily as the Varsity Assistant coach and is pivotal in preparation for opponents.

Coach Bauer is in his 10th year as an assistant at Northview. He currently serves as the Associate Head Coach. Evan played for Coach McDonald at Waite High School from 2005-2009!

Coach served as the freshmen coach for two years, junior varsity for three years and this year, will be his fifth primarily as a varsity assistant.

Coach enjoys watching Julian play travel sports, attending concerts and sporting events and roots for: L.A. Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State (football and basketball), Detroit Tigers, Dallas Wings

This is Coach Dietrich's sixth year on staff, spending the first four as the Head Freshmen Coach. This season Coach will serve as the Head Junior Varsity Coach as well as a varsity assistant.

• Coach Dietrich currently resides in Holland with his wife Kayla. and their son Lincoln (2).

Coach Eidson enters her sixth year on the Wildcats' staff. This year, she will serve as a varsity assistant coach. A little more about Coach Eidson:

Occupation:

In addition to coaching basketball, Miss Eidson is a Math Teacher and Assistant Athletic Director at Northview. She previously spent time teaching Math at McCord and Timberstone in Sylvania and in Washington Local. Miss Eidson is in her ninth year with Sylvania Schools.

Coaching: 

-Eight seasons as an assistant at Notre Dame (1) and Whitmer (7).

-Two seasons as the Head Girls Varsity Coach at the other school in Sylvania.

-Entering sixth season at Northview. 

-Coach has also coached volleyball at McCord and Whitmer and this year became Northview's Assistant Athletic Director.

Interest:

Traveling, hanging out with her nieces and nephews, playing volleyball and Penn State athletics.
